Extremely good life in this keyboard and very easy on the eye too. Lovely feel about it, as with most Mac products.

Not a bad price either, would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a wireless keyboard

Lovely keyboard from the convenience point of view. You can put it anywhere on your desk if you're not using it (for example, if you're playing a synth keyboard you can just bung it upright in the corner). The action is okay given the short key travel but I'm really not convinced you'd want to do a lot of typing on it. That said, I haven't tried.

The design is great, as others have said, and I find the angle of use fine. I keep a 5p coin on my desk for opening the battery compartment.

The only drawback is that it eats batteries. Not only that, you don't get much warning of the batteries being exhausted. But you really wouldn't want to use disposable ones: I reckon I get maybe 3 weeks or so out of a pair (considerably worse than my previous wireless keyboard). I have tried various rechargeable batteries (including a set of 2900mAh ones, which I thought must be good. They weren't) and the best so far are these:
Duracell Stay Charged AA Rechargeable batteries pack of 4 . They seem to retain their charge pre-use, and in use last well. If you buy 4, then you have two spares - or a set for your magic mouse ;).

I was in the market for a keyboard for my IP2 so I could use Pages and numbers at a faster rate than my previous one finger jab on its on-screen keyboard. A visit to the Apple Stores in London made it quite clear that actually there was only one Keyboard that fit the bill and it was the Apple one. However I decided to buy mine off of Amazon as it was cheaper than purchasing off Apple.

Well, what can I say other than I don't know what it is about Apple, but they make life just so easy for the end user, not only that but they do it with a dash of panache. The keyboard is a object of beauty (And I am talking about a keyboard here, sad but true) Made out of aluminium and as slim (Metaphorically speaking) as a super model.

It arrives with 2AA batteries fitted and to turn it on, you press the button (I'll let you try and find it) syncing to the I-Pad was quick and effortless and guess what it works. The keyboard has added another dimension to my IP, yes it has its on-screen one, but typing with both hands as opposed to one finger is a lot quicker.

The only issue I have, is that anything from Apple is expensive. However you do get what you pay for here and in the long run will work out cheaper.

I've owned a number of wireless Bluetooth keyboards over the last few years and all have worn out at some point between the nine to eighteen month point. I use a wireless keyboard a lot, typically over 5,000 words a week, and this is why I've bought the Apple keyboard. It's designed for desktop use but works with most devices that can handle a HID Bluetooth profile.

Size wise, it's the same as you'll find on a Macbook. It also looks the same. Some of the custom hotkeys are irrelevant unless you're using it with a Mac. Nevertheless, it's quiet and comfortable to use and it's well built.

The keyboard is one solid piece of metal and plastic and doesn't fold up, so it's less portable than some of the cheaper alternatives. Battery life is reputed to be excellent but it's only been a month and it's too soon to say.

I bought this so I was able to do all my university work on my iPad instead of having to buy a laptop. It is brilliant. Apple products always are the most reliable I find. There other brands that were cheaper I could have chosen but the apple keyboard is so easy to use. It is not difficult to use. It takes AA batteries so need to faff around without charging cables etc. It connects very easily to my iPad within seconds it recognises it and can start typing away easily. In addition, I chose the apple keyboard because it was the standard size of the keyboard and so would be most comfortable to type with. I had previously tried a keyboard that attat he's to a case for the iPad which was handy and easy to carry around but was not very comfortable to type on. If I had one compliant it would be that it isn't very easy to carry around because there is no case but it is very light and so I never really notice it in my bag.

I purchased this product (like many on here) to use with my iPad which i use for customer meetings as, nice as the iPad2 is the keyboard for note taking isn't that great (you can't tuch type on it). So i needed something light, portable, that worked with the iPad2 and looked nice.

This fits the bill on all fronts - the only reason this isn't a 5 Star product for me is the requirement for AA batteries - ok clearly a wireless keyboard needs power (i'm not stupid) but for this money I would expect a built in battery and mains charging. Apart from that the keyboard is very light wight, stays working all day and the keys are well spaced and weighted for a great typing experience.

Really recommend this product if, like me you work on your iPad2 and need a better keyboard then the on screen offering.

Not bad for a small portable keyboard

I bought this to use my Mac Book Pro with an external screen. All I can say is it's not bad for a small keyboard for occasional use but I would not want to use it for extended periods of use.

The magic trackpad (sold separately) works well with this keyboard and sits very nicely along side it.

Like all Apple products, it's very nicely made but it is what it is. A small lightweight keyboard.

[Later] I've now had the keyboard for two months and while it is fine for casual use, I've had to buy the full size Apple keyboard for serious work - for example program editing. I just couldn't get by without dedicated keys for page up/down, home/end etc.
