My existing Belkin Car Charger had recently packed up and I wanted a smaller replacement as I had also changed car, the car has three 12v points, one in the ashtray, central console and also one in the boot. As I prefer to use the one in the ashtray the existing charger had proved to be a bit long and often got knocked, likely cause of its ultimate failure. As a result I found this ,stubby little charger, and had two ports. The charger fits perfectly in my charge point of choice and also nicely in the central console.
On first use the charger quickly charged both my and my partners iPhone 6 Plus, no overheating or issues, simply does what it does.
I was surprised on opening the package that there was an instruction book, however this proved to have a few useful titbits of information on the power output and so on, so was a quick but informative little read.
As we are a house hold of self confessed apple geeks, watches, iPads phones and so on, it's likely that we will purchase a second one to live in the boot to charge the tablets on longer journeys, and would work just as well with any other USB device.
The overall build quality and finish is excellent, glows blue when charging a device which is always reassuring.

It comes well-protected in a protective cardboard box alongside a small user manual and warranty card, and is small and compact, approximately the diameter of a new £1 coin. It looks good in the car, with it's sleek, glossy finish and doesn't protrude too far up (just under 30mm from the bezel of the socket), so even with 2 cables fitted won't affect operation of any of the controls in that area. When plugged in it emits a very gentle blue glow from the USB ports, so is easy to find at night.
Charging time is as good as I hoped for, even with 2 devices plugged in - one of those is invariably my phone which will add a little bit of charge over the course of a journey, even with GPS on and a bright screen. It does everything that I hoped for and does look like a 'quality' product - maybe not Apple levels of styling and desirability, but it wouldn't look out of place in even the most expensive car. Would highly recommend.

I was looking for a compact USB adapter for the cigarette lighter in my car, as the USB port provided is hidden in the centre console and gets easily buried underneath tissues, mints and sunglasses etc as well as the various cables (Micro-USB, USB-C and Apple) that we have to carry on a family trip these days. This is a very useful charger, this is the first time I've ever tried anything like this. I popped it into my cars cigarette lighter & it fits perfectly. With the car ignition switched on the USB charge ports light up blue so it's a doddle to find in the dark.
I had both my phone & tablet plugged into this, both charged up very quickly. This will be ideal for those long trips where the only way to keep the children amused is for them to use their phones & tablets. With this they will be kept fully charged for the longest of journeys.
The charger is quite small but looks to be well built, when inserted it's hardly noticeable so doesn't look ugly or out of place. With my car, when the ignition is turned off the power socket is powered off so there is no risk of my car battery running flat if I inadvertently left something connected to this unit. It's small enough to keep tucked away in your glove box when not in use
