Not for critical applications. These eventually fail after a year or two.

These cables are starting to fail after using about a dozen times per year on 2 day road shows. Mostly losing the red color. The 10-pack was a deal but I wound not use these if your job depends on them. I'll buy the 7-8.00 cable from now on. Cable Matters I have had no issues with. I took a pic of one of my bad cables.

The description of this cable does not mention what resolution that this cable will support. I connected this and found that it can only support up to 1280 resolution but not 1920. The cable works but serve little purpose for me.. I purchased another SVGA cable from Walmart and that ones support 1920. This product was mailed from China. When I asked to return it, I was asked to pay for shipping that will exceed the cost of it. I finally accepted the settlement that they refund 2/5 of the purchase cost and I can keep the cable. I gave 2 stars because the product is a working one, the shipping arrived as promised, and the company responded quickly. I took out 3 stars because I now keep a useless product, I have to pay for the return cost (if I insisted to return it), I didn't get a full refund, and the company did not put more details in product descriptions and let you know the limitations.

After allowing friends to pack up my desktop computer when I moved recently, I found that my VGA Monitor cable had been utterly destroyed. I wanted to replace it with a functional cable that wasn't too expensive since my computer isn't exactly new. I found this cable and it was exactly what I needed. My monitor is a Gateway and it the cable worked just fine. I've had no issues with connectivity. A couple notes:
1. This cable is listed as an extension cable, I haven't measured it but it doesn't appear to be a full 6 ft. If you absolutely need all 6 ft I'd avoid this cable. It really functions best as a standard hookup cable than an extension cable.
2. Count the pins you need your cable to have. This is an SVGA which has 15 pins. If you only need a cable with 9 pins then you want a VGA cable.

This is a standard "hookup" cable with male at both ends. An "extension cable", by definition, has to have male and female connectors at opposite ends to "extend" the existing cable.
To be clear, this is a SVGA (DE-15 pin) and not a VGA (DE-9 pin). You also can't have both SVGA and VGA in a hookup or extension cable. That would be an "adapter". [Many get tripped up by poor English.] There are only three things that plug into any computer port at any time. 1.) A "hookup" cable to run what the port was made for. 2.) An "extension" that lengthens the existing cable. 3.) An "adapter" that allows running something different than what the port was originally intended to run. Nothing more nothing less.
The hookup cable I got from Cable N Wireless was different from one I got from another seller. The ferrite magnets were smaller. The plastic screw caps were tapered (not cylindrical like in the picture). It seemed a bit flimsier than the one pictured, which is the one I got prior. However, it works good. Hard to beat for the total price. I have a Sony monitor that has a built in switch for 3 computers. I can switch between the 3. One is the Sony cable that came with the monitor. The other two are the cheapies I got from Amazon. They all work good. Hard or impossible to tell the difference at 1280x1024. It's great to have a cheap alternative to an expensive cable that wouldn't show any better.
The problem I have with Cables N Wireless, is that they know they are selling a 5 foot cable (actually 59 inches) as the seller used a marker to black out the "VGA5ft" on the package label (I guess the other supplier simply removed the sticker). Why not be honest and let people know it's 5 feet? If you really need a 6' cable, don't buy any of these blue connector cables.
In any event, only get the ones with ferrite magnets on BOTH ENDS. I had another cable with nasty ghosting that this one replaced that had no ferrite magnets. I will never make that mistake again.
I took a star off for not being 6 feet and for the confusion of saying it is an "extension" cable. Works fine otherwise. Nice enough cable. Both sellers shipped fast. Use it to "hook up" the computer to the monitor and NOT to "extend" anything. Make sure you need a SVGA 15 pin cable and not the old VGA 9 pin (like Carol needed). [If you are still confused at all, go to Wikipedia, "VGA connector".]
[Note: Though it works, analog cables are not designed for "hot plugging". If the ground protection doesn't work in your computer or monitor you can damage either if you don't turn them off when plugging or unplugging the VGA cable (happened a lot in the early years). It only takes one time for the ground wire to not make contact or disconnect before the other wires. OK to use a switch as the ground is already grounded on all sides of the switch.]

Works as needed. Used to display my laptop onto my TV.
Laptop has a port in for monitor cable. TV has one as well in the back where HDMI input, and the red/white/yellow hookups are. Plugged into laptop, then into TV. Went on remote switched the different outputs (eg. HDMI-1, HDMI-2, TV, Component etc.) until I gotto the PC one and boom it worked, each end of the cable has 15 gold pins that go into 15 pinholes. Before buying it might make sense to make sure your laptop, computer, TV, ass, has 15 corresponding pin holes in a shape like /::::\ the pinholes are the (::)

My daughters computer was recently "hi-jacked" and this video cable went missing. I had a spare on my display monitor as I can connect two different types of monitor cables for my troubleshooting. I gave her my spare one and so I needed to replace it. I couldn't believe the price of this 6ft cable (I think it was about $3.65). When it arrived, I plugged it in, it worked just fine, and now I have my two cables again. I would buy from this seller again and again. Item came within period specified and I am very happy with them.

This cable was purchased as a replacement for the original VGA cable that came with my flat screen monitor. It was definitely worth the price. The only thing, it came from overseas and it took way over a month and a half to get it. I recommend that if you need one and can wait then order it but if you need one quicker then I suggest to look for a different supplier. Now Amazon does not carry this cable. They more or less farmed it out to one of their suppliers. Check around before ordering.
