If you feel that your Acer C720 Chromebook is lacking a little bit of finesse then you are now in luck. By adding a wooden top to your C720 or C720P you can get a premium finish without having to give up you beloved Chromebook.
So what is it?
The wooden finish I’m eluding to is a wafer thin piece of laser cut wood which adheres to the lid of your laptop. Once you’ve peeled back the protection for the adhesive you have a slightly fiddly task of attaching the wood to your lid. Take you time over this as once it is stuck down you cannot undo what you’ve done without damaging the wood. Once sealed your Acer C720 really looks the business. In my mind it elevates the slightly drab laptop to a device that looks and feels like a high end unit. Don’t just take my word for it have a look at the following images.

Anything else
It’s perhaps not all rainbows and unicorns with the Toast laptop protector. At $50 (around £30) the protector isn’t cheap. In fact it’s rather expensive. Having said that there is no denying that it does add to the look and feel of your device – which was cheap.
If you are purchasing from the UK please be aware that these ship from the US and are subject to import duty. So on top of the £30 for the protective cover I had to pay a further £14.55 so that it would get sent to me. Again this is something that you should factor in.
Other devices
Toast don’t just make covers for the Acer C720. They also have a line of protective covers for most MacBook laptops. These are available in a range of different wood finishes, so you can pick something that best suits you.
