To me the iPad Air is everything a brilliant tablet needs to be. It has an amazing screen, excellent battery life and fast enough to run apps without any delays. Not only that but it is light and thin. It can be held in one hand for long periods of time and given the narrower portrait mode can be held and typed on.
iPad Mini
I’m now in a bit of a quandary about whether I should keep my iPad Mini or sell it. Since owning the air I’ve only occasionally used the Mini and am starting to think that the larger screen provides me with better productivity possibilities. Also the iPad Air is that much better for watching films on. I’ve even tested it with my coat and the Air just about fits into a large pocket (albeit with the top poking out). The Retina iPad Mini due at the end of the month might be worth at look at but I’m so pleased with the new form of the iPad Air that I’m struggling to find a place for the Mini.
I’m sure many will disagree and think the Mini is the perfect fit for their lives. I was like that but having used the Air now for over a week I’m starting to think the Air might be that device.

Thankfully eBay comes to the rescue for used devices. My third generation iPad is due to sell tomorrow with some lucky blighter picking it up for a song. But for me having the healthy second hand market for this kind of technology frees me up to invest in something knowing that in a years time it still has residual value. So I did buy the iPad 3 with this in mind.

Have you switched to an Air from a Mini or like Patrick Jordan from iPad insights tried the Air and determined that the Retina Mini is the way to go? Should I hold onto both for a while longer?
