After watching an awesome Ned Rush YouTube video around the power of generative music using Ableton Live midi effects I decided to have a go. This one minute track was created using the most basic programming methods and a series of midi effects driving Ableton Live instruments.
Last Week’s One Minute Track
I tried to create another one minute track last week, but I wasn’t feeling it, so in the end decided to hold off until I had a sketch worth posting. I may go back and revisit last week’s effort some time in the future as there is something there – just needs some work to make sense of it.
Next Steps
Having played with midi FX ‘in the box’ I plan to connect up some of my external hardware and record the output… The Microfreak should provide some additional elements of excitement given the evolving nature of a lot of the presets….
